How It All Started
Mr. Khanh Le has a dream to become a doctor since he was a little boy in Vietnam. He is inspired by his father who is an army nurse in South Vietnam. He has seen his father helping people for years which really motivated him to be a doctor. When his father was forced to take his family away from Vietnam and start over in Melbourne, Khanh was only 15 years old and thought it would finally be his chance to fulfil his life-long dream. However, he did not have enough English skills to support his academic performance. He couldn’t apply for medical school. After few years in chemical engineering, Khanh finally got the courage to pursue his dream. With his father’s inspiration and his brother’s and sister’s support, Khanh opened Maidstone Family Clinic in June, 2017. To Khanh, the most important thing is to reach and help as many people as he can. As an immigrant himself, Khanh fully understands all the struggles and difficulties people need to go through when they come all the way around to Australia. That’s why he chose Maidstone as the place to set up this clinic.
Firstly, there is a lot of traffic at the Ballarat Road and Churchill Avenue. Secondly, Maidstone is a multicultural community. This shows the core value of Maidstone Family Clinic: to reach and help as many people from different countries and cultural background as we can. That’s why Maidstone Family offers high quality and inexpensive medical service. In addition, free medical checks and assessment are also provided in our clinic. We have English, Vietnamese and Chinese Speaking staff in our clinic. Also we are recruiting doctors from different countries so we can help patients from different cultural backgrounds. With our doctors and staff, Maidstone Family Clinic aims to help improving people’s well-being in Maidstone and eventually make Melbourne a better city.
